Dental Care at the 633rd Orthodontic Clinic
When it comes to dental care, the 633rd Dental Squadron clinic at Langley Air Force Base is one of the largest and best equipped in the Air Force. This is a huge benefit for Service members, who can be seen in-house for most of their oral health needs rather than being referred off base for specialized procedures.
While the Langley Orthodontic Clinic of the clinic’s patients are preventative, many do require specialized treatment, such as root canal therapy or a jaw reconstruction. This is where the team really shines. Because the majority of these cases are seen in-house, technicians do not have to travel to off-base dental providers, which can be expensive and time consuming for the patient. In addition, the dental team also works to keep its technology up to date, such as using a 3D scanner that eliminates the need for gooey impressions.
Langley Orthodontic Services: What to Expect
One of the most significant innovations for the clinic is the oral surgery section, which was granted its own space within U.S. Air Force Hospital Langley last fall. The two oral and maxillofacial surgeons at the clinic treat diseases, injuries and defects of the head, neck, face, jaws and hard and soft tissues of the mouth.
With the help of her own orthodontist, Crystal realized she had a passion for helping people smile more confidently. This sparked her interest in becoming a Certified Dental Assistant and she is committed to helping patients enjoy their best smile possible. Outside of work, she enjoys powerlifting and sharing her love for gaming with friends.
